Seidel Studio

In 1922 Otto and Johanna Seidel came over from Germany to New Braunfels, TX. Soon after arriving, they started Seidel Photo Studio. They photographed many local events including weddings and birthdays. The movie theater was just down the street, but many times locals would be found peering in the Seidel Studio display window to view all of the local event pictures.

Otto was an active community member. He directed four German signing groups in New Braunfels. Otto and Johanna help any time they could and were loved by many people in the community and abroad. Recently Edmund Seidel, Otto and Johanna's eldest son, traveled to Germany to visit a family his parents had sent care packages to during the war. This family was still grateful for the Seidel's helping them through tough times.
